Peyton Watson Traded in Denver Nuggets Offseason Moves

Ascending star Peyton Watson was traded in an offseason move that further depleted the Denver Nuggets' roster entering the 2026-27 NBA season. Facing a difficult salary cap situation and the second apron after a first-round playoff exit against the Timberwolves, the Nuggets parted ways with Watson as part of roster adjustments aimed at surrounding stars Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray with enough depth to compete in a tough Western Conference.
