Dell Pettus Placed on Injured Reserve With Ankle Injury

New England Patriots safety Dell Pettus was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday after sustaining an ankle injury on special teams during a Week 2 win over the Steelers. Pettus will miss a minimum of four games, ending a streak of 36 consecutive appearances. In a corresponding move, the Patriots promoted outside linebacker Jose Ramirez to the active roster to reinforce depth ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
