Devin Williams Activated From Injured List After Six-Week Absence

The New York Mets officially reinstated reliever Devin Williams from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday after he missed six weeks with a right shoulder strain. Williams has converted 16 of 19 save opportunities this season while posting a 4.66 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, and 51 strikeouts over 38.2 innings. The Mets plan to carefully script his upcoming pitching appearances over the final two regular-season series to ease him back into bullpen action.
