Dillon Dingler Sidelined From Starting Lineup for Tuesday's Matchup

Dillon Dingler is out of the Tigers' starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals, continuing a pattern where he and Eduardo Valencia alternate catching duties for a fifth consecutive game. The 28-year-old earned an All-Star nod in the first half of the season behind an .831 OPS and 19 home runs, but has experienced a difficult second half, managing just a .220/.275/.369 slash line across 55 contests since the mid-summer break.
