Cale Makar Sheds Non-Contact Sweater, Nearing Preseason Action

Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar was a full participant in Tuesday's practice session, shedding his non-contact jersey as he recovers from a lower-body injury. Head coach Jared Bednar indicated that Makar is trending toward playing in a preseason game this weekend, possibly as early as Friday against Winnipeg. In 2025-26, the superstar blueliner recorded 20 goals, 79 points, a plus-32 rating, and 118 blocks over 75 games.
