Camilo Doval Designated for Assignment by Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates designated right-hander Camilo Doval for assignment on Tuesday after activating Kirby Yates off the injured list. Acquired from the Yankees at the 2025 trade deadline, Doval posted a 3.79 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, and 23:14 K:BB across 19 innings with Pittsburgh before the team moved on during the final week of the season following a struggling campaign with a career-low 8.8 strikeouts per nine innings.
