James Wood Continues Second-Half Struggles for Nationals

James Wood is experiencing a second-half slump for the Washington Nationals for the second consecutive season. He has not hit a home run in his last 25 games and has only 9 extra-base hits since the All-Star Break. An oblique strain in August may have contributed, but questions about his effort level and physical/mental fatigue have also been raised.
