Brandon Nimmo Focuses on Rangers' Postseason Chase Against Former Mets
Texas Rangers outfielder Brandon Nimmo is focused entirely on the team's AL West playoff push rather than facing his former club, the New York Mets, for the first time. Traded last offseason for Marcus Semien after agreeing to waive his no-trade clause, Nimmo is batting .260 with 14 home runs and 34 doubles. Having recently returned from a stomach bug, Nimmo reflected on the Mets' offseason overhaul, noting he and Pete Alonso were simply not viewed as part of the team's future.
