Buddy Hield Involved in Ongoing Trade Discussions with Hornets

The Atlanta Hawks have explored trading Buddy Hield to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Dorian Finney-Smith. For Atlanta, the talks center on shedding Hield's $9.7 million salary for this season and his $10.1 million player option for next year. Hield, 33, appeared in 51 games last season split between Golden State and Atlanta, averaging 7.6 points while shooting a career-low 34.9% from 3-point range. While talks remain ongoing, no final deal has been completed yet between the teams.
