Junior Ciprian Showcases Impressive Fastball in D-backs System

Arizona Diamondbacks pitching prospect Junior Ciprian continues to elevate his profile after being highlighted as an ideal projectability arm. Signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2023 for $20,000, the right-hander posted a 2.76 ERA across 71.2 innings at Single-A Visalia in 2026 before advancing to High-A Hillsboro, where he recorded a 4.68 ERA in 32.2 innings. Ciprian's arsenal is anchored by a plus fastball touching 98-99 mph with 18 inches of vertical break and a high-80s slider.
