Shane McClanahan Will Not Return During Regular Season for Rays

Tampa Bay Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan will not return before the conclusion of the regular season, according to manager Kevin Cash. McClanahan played catch Friday in what was described as a good session, but he has been sidelined since Sept. 4 with left forearm tightness. He will now shift his sights to potentially being available for Tampa Bay during the postseason push as the club navigates the final stretch of the regular-season schedule.
