Alex Bregman Hospitalized After Facial Laceration from Foul Ball

Chicago Cubs third baseman Alex Bregman was hospitalized Sunday after taking a foul ball off teammate Michael Busch's bat directly to the face while in the on-deck circle. Bregman suffered a facial laceration, nasal bleeding, and severe swelling under his left eye. X-rays and CT scans were conducted, but early tests show no concussion. Bregman posted "I'll be back" on Instagram, is traveling home with the team, and remains day-to-day as Chicago pushes for a playoff spot.
