Xavier Edwards Out of Lineup Sunday Due to Left Thumb Discomfort

Miami Marlins infielder Xavier Edwards is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres due to ongoing discomfort in his left thumb. Edwards departed Saturday's contest after checking his thumb following a foul ball. Having recently returned from a two-week absence for a sprain in the same thumb, he may have aggravated the injury. Javier Sanoja shifts to second base while Graham Pauley starts at third.
