David Rittich Set to Start Preseason Debut Against New York Islanders

New Jersey Devils goaltender David Rittich will start Sunday's preseason game against his former team, the New York Islanders. The 34-year-old veteran netminder posted a 14-10-3 record, a 2.76 GAA and an .894 save percentage across 30 regular-season games for the Isles during the 2025-26 campaign. Expect to see Rittich battle for a larger role in the New Jersey crease this preseason against teammate Jake Allen.
