Dillon Dingler Absent From Sunday's Lineup Versus White Sox

Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler is absent from the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Chicago White Sox. Dingler is getting a day off as he continues to endure a severe slump at the plate, slashing a meager .152/.185/.205 with just one home run over his last 30 games. Eduardo Valencia will handle catching duties and bat fifth for Detroit while Dingler attempts to work through his prolonged offensive struggles.
