Willson Contreras Battles Bruised Right Hand, Aims for Return
Boston Red Sox veteran Willson Contreras remains sidelined due to a bruised right hand after being hit by a pitch, marking his third consecutive absence. Although X-rays were negative, his hand shows visible bruising and he cannot yet grip a bat. Contreras hopes to take initial swings soon, stating, "I'm going to do everything in my power to get back on the field before the playoffs." He will use the upcoming Monday off-day to recover before Tuesday's series opener against Cleveland.
