Dansby Swanson Receives Rest Day After Clutch Homer and Multi-Hit Series Start

Dansby Swanson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds, receiving a well-earned rest after starting the first two games following his reinstatement from the injured list. Swanson recently went 3-for-7 with his 19th home run of the season, two runs scored, and a solo shot in a 5-2 victory that brought the Cubs closer to a postseason berth. The veteran shortstop has provided key offensive spark as Chicago pushes toward the final week of the regular season.
