Michael Busch Launches 20th Home Run of Season in Cubs Win

Michael Busch went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the sixth inning of a 5-2 victory over the Reds, marking his second homer in the last seven games. The milestone gives the slugging first baseman 20 home runs on the year, securing his third consecutive 20-homer campaign. Although his power numbers have dipped slightly from his 34-homer output in 2025, Busch continues to anchor the Cubs' lineup as they battle for playoff position.
