José Soriano Takes Loss Despite Nine Strikeouts Against Rangers

Toronto Blue Jays starter José Soriano suffered the loss in Saturday's 6-2 defeat against the Texas Rangers. Soriano allowed six runs (five earned) on four hits, one walk, and two hit batters across five innings, while striking out nine. Defensive mishaps, an errant throw, a wild pitch, and a first-inning solo home run plagued Soriano's outing as Texas capitalized on run scoring opportunities to hand Toronto another crucial loss.
