Emmanuel Rodriguez Gets Day Off on Bench Saturday

Emmanuel Rodriguez is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Angels. The 23-year-old prospect homered in his major league debut on Sept. 12, but has since cooled off, going 4-for-23 with 11 strikeouts over his last six games, including 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts in his last three. Austin Martin starts in left field and Walker Jenkins in center against lefty Reid Detmers to give Rodriguez a mental break.
