Eddy Pineiro Expected to Play for 49ers After Recovering From Illness

San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro is expected to be available for Sunday's home opener against the Miami Dolphins after recovering from an illness that kept him out of practice all week. Although the 49ers worked out veteran kickers Greg Joseph and Younghoe Koo on Saturday as a precaution, they ultimately did not sign either player, signaling complete confidence in Pineiro's readiness to return to kicking duties.
