Maikel Garcia Benched Saturday Following Slump After IL Return

Kansas City Royals third baseman Maikel Garcia will sit out Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Garcia receives a day of rest after going just 1-for-11 with a walk and two RBIs across three games since returning from the injured list. In his absence, Nick Loftin takes over at third base and will bat sixth in the lineup for Kansas City, while Jac Caglianone serves as the team's designated hitter for the day.
