Josiah Gray Makes Inspirational Return to Mound

Josiah Gray made an inspirational return to the mound for the Washington Nationals in a 9-1 blowout win over the St. Louis Cardinals, pitching a scoreless ninth inning. Making his first appearance since April 2024 following a long and bumpy recovery from Tommy John surgery, Gray showed promising velocity by sitting at 94 mph and attacking the zone. He faced four batters and retired three, visibly emotional upon completing his long-awaited comeback to the major league bullpen.
