Chase Burns Limited to Three Innings in Start Against Cubs

Chase Burns did not factor into the decision during Friday's 6-4 win over the Cubs, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over three innings with four strikeouts. Cincinnati continues to manage the 23-year-old right-hander's workload late in his debut MLB season, having logged a career-high 154.1 innings. Burns has pitched exactly three innings in each of his three September starts (4.00 ERA) and will make his final 2026 start next week in Atlanta.
