Oskar Sundqvist Fights for Blues Roster Spot on Two-Way Contract
Oskar Sundqvist signed a one-year, two-way contract ($850k NHL/$300k AHL) to stay with the St. Louis Blues despite other guaranteed offers. After posting 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 52 games last season, the 32-year-old enters training camp pain-free in his knees for the first time in 2.5 years following past ACL surgeries. Sundqvist is currently competing in Group B for one of two remaining bottom-six roster spots and faces potential waivers if assigned to AHL Springfield.
