Jared Young Placed on Injured List Following Collision

Jared Young has been placed on the injured list after suffering an outfield collision on Thursday night. Although Young avoided the worst-case scenario, the injury forced the New York Mets to place him on the IL and recall infielder Ronny Mauricio to take his spot on the active roster. Young's roster movement comes as the Mets snapped a five-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. Mauricio is expected to receive at-bats over the final eight games.
