Ben Rice Powers Yankees' Lineup Amid Youth Movement and Playoff Push

First baseman and designated hitter Ben Rice has established himself as a vital force at the plate for the New York Yankees during a standout 2026 campaign. The Massachusetts native, never highly rated as a prospect, has anchored a youth movement that kept the injury-riddled team in contention for the AL East title and a Wild Card matchup against the Boston Red Sox. Rice recently celebrated clinching a playoff berth with teammate Spencer Jones after beating Minnesota at Target Field on September 14.
