John Bates Projected To Play Major Snaps With Chig Okonkwo Sidelined

Washington Commanders tight end John Bates is projected to handle the majority of snaps in Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys following the hamstring injury to Chig Okonkwo. Okonkwo is ruled out after missing practice all week. Bates played 70 percent of snaps in the fourth quarter of Week 1 after Okonkwo exited, though he may be subbed out for Ben Sinnott or Colson Yankoff in certain passing situations during the matchup.
