Ed Oliver Ruled Out After Pregame Hip Injury Against Lions

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver was a surprise inactive for Thursday Night Football against the Detroit Lions after injuring his hip during pregame warmups. Oliver was not listed on the injury report and played over 80% of defensive snaps in Week 1, but was held out as a precautionary measure on a wet field. The absence is a tough blow for Buffalo's defensive line, coming just weeks after Oliver mourned the tragic accidental drowning death of his 2-year-old son.
