Kyle Finnegan Placed on 15-Day IL with Left Groin Inflammation

The Detroit Tigers placed relief pitcher Kyle Finnegan on the 15-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to Wednesday, due to left groin inflammation. The move likely ends Finnegan's regular season after he struggled in his last two outings against Toronto, giving up four earned runs over 1.1 innings. In a corresponding transaction, Detroit recalled pitcher Ty Madden from Triple-A Toledo to fill the roster spot.
