Ricky Barber Released by Commanders to Free Active Roster Spot

The Washington Commanders waived defensive lineman Ricky Barber on Thursday to open a spot on their 53-man active roster for cornerback Isaac Yiadom. Barber signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent last season, appearing in two games with five tackles and a sack. Despite a strong training camp and preseason, Barber was inactive for Washington's Week 1 loss to Philadelphia and could return on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
