Shohei Ohtani Expected to Return Before Regular Season Ends

Dodgers president Andrew Friedman expects Shohei Ohtani to return during the final regular-season games as he recovers from right biceps and left knee injuries. Placed on the 15-day IL on Sept. 7 and done pitching for 2026, Ohtani has resumed hitting off tees and is advancing to coach-pitch BP. While still experiencing minor discomfort, the four-time MVP aims to secure vital at-bats before the postseason.
