Drew Gilbert Lifts Giants Over Cardinals With Go-Ahead 10th-Inning Home Run

Drew Gilbert delivered a clutch two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning to propel the San Francisco Giants to a 6-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on September 16. Gilbert's game-winning blast capped off a hard-fought contest, helping San Francisco secure its first road series win in three months while pushing St. Louis closer to playoff elimination. The dramatic big fly spoiled a late Cardinals comeback attempt after St. Louis had tied the game off Dylan Smith in the bottom of the ninth.
