Cade Smith Locks Down 37th Save in Guardians Victory Over White Sox
Cleveland Guardians reliever Cade Smith recorded his 37th save of the season in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the White Sox, striking out two batters over 1.1 perfect innings. Brought in after Erik Sabrowski walked two in the eighth to bring the tying run to the plate, Smith retired Sam Antonacci to end the threat before dominating the ninth. Smith has not blown a save in over a month, posting a 1.10 ERA and 25:4 K:BB across his last 16.1 innings spanning 15 appearances.
