Mike Burrows Set to Restart Minor League Rehab Assignment This Weekend

Houston Astros right-hander Mike Burrows will restart his rehab assignment and pitch three innings for Triple-A Sugar Land this weekend, manager Joe Espada announced. Sidelined since July 7 due to right elbow neuritis, Burrows was previously shut down from a rehab stint because of right shoulder inflammation, during which he threw 20 pitches off a mound Sunday. Espada indicated Burrows could rejoin the Astros' pitching staff before the regular season concludes if his weekend outing goes well.
