Hunter Goodman Remains Out of Lineup Due to Lingering Thumb Issue
Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman remained sidelined for Wednesday's matchup against the San Diego Padres as he continues to deal with a thumb injury. Rockies manager Warren Schaeffer confirmed that Goodman is considered day-to-day, though he has now missed two consecutive games and three of Colorado's last four contests overall. It remains unclear when he initially sustained the injury. Braxton Fulford started at catcher and batted eighth in his place on Wednesday.
