Colson Montgomery Day-to-Day After Suffering Wrist Contusion
Chicago White Sox shortstop Colson Montgomery exited Wednesday's game against the Guardians in the fifth inning after suffering a left wrist contusion when struck by a 95.1 mph sinker from Parker Messick. Initial X-rays returned negative, and the rookie infielder is currently listed as day-to-day. Montgomery went 0-for-1 before leaving, extending his current hitless slump to 10 games as he works to regain his offensive rhythm down the stretch of the season.
