Daniel Duarte Lands on Injured List With Season-Ending Hamstring Strain

New York Mets reliever Daniel Duarte was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left hamstring strain sustained while trying to cover home plate on a wild pitch. The injury officially concludes Duarte's stellar 2026 campaign, in which he served as a reliable late-inning bullpen anchor, pitching to a 2.12 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts across 24 appearances and 29.2 innings. Left-hander Jefry Yan was called up to take his spot.
