Ryan Lasko Released From Hospital Following Outfield Collision
Athletics minor league prospect Ryan Lasko was released from an in-patient rehabilitation hospital on Wednesday to continue his recovery from home. Lasko suffered a severe spinal cord injury during a Double-A outfield collision on June 30, fracturing his C6 and C7 vertebrae and leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. After two months at the Kessler Institute, the 24-year-old has begun regaining feeling in his legs as he works toward regaining independence.
