Jalen Carter Establishes Himself as NFL's Elite Kick Blocker

Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter has established himself as one of the NFL's premier kick blockers after recording his fourth career block in Sunday's season opener against the Commanders. Carter's blocked PAT forced Washington into a late two-point attempt. Since entering the league in 2023, Carter's four blocks rank second in the NFL behind Denico Autry and mark the most by an Eagle in 40 years. Special teams coach Michael Clay praised his get-off, instincts, and rhythm timing.
