Kyle Freeland Reinstated from IL to Start Against Padres
The Colorado Rockies reinstated left-handed starting pitcher Kyle Freeland from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the San Diego Padres. Freeland was placed on the IL on Aug. 24 due to cervical radiculopathy (a pinched nerve in his neck) suffered during an Aug. 19 start versus Los Angeles. He enters his 24th start of 2026 with a 6.37 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 103 strikeouts in 124.1 innings, expecting to make two remaining starts this season.
