Colt Keith Out of Detroit Tigers Lineup Tuesday with Thumb Injury

Detroit Tigers third baseman Colt Keith is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays due to left thumb soreness. Keith was scratched Monday and is sitting for a second consecutive contest. It remains unclear how long he has dealt with the issue, but the infielder has struggled recently, slashing .136/.240/.227 with a 30 percent strikeout rate over his past 19 games.
