James Wood Out of Washington Nationals Lineup After 10-Game Run

Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood was held out of Tuesday's lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies for rest. Wood returned from an oblique injury on Sept. 2 and started 10 consecutive games, batting .297 (11-for-37) with three doubles, four stolen bases, and two RBI during that stretch. Overall, Wood leads the NL with a .395 OBP and 30 home runs while pacing the majors in average exit velocity (95.1 mph).
