Carolina Panthers Waive Wide Receiver Jimmy Horn Jr.

The Carolina Panthers waived second-year wide receiver and returner Jimmy Horn Jr. on Tuesday following a costly muffed punt during their 59-37 Week 1 loss to the Chicago Bears. Horn muffed Troy Taylor's second-quarter punt with the game tied 21-21, leading directly to a Chicago field goal. Horn, a 2025 sixth-round pick out of Colorado who caught 11 passes for 108 yards as a rookie, was released to open an active roster spot for linebacker Tyrel Dodson.
