Sterling Shepard Joins New York Jets Practice Squad

Veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard has signed with the New York Jets practice squad. The 33-year-old spent training camp with the Houston Texans after recording 39 catches for 371 yards and a touchdown across 13 games with Tampa Bay in 2025. Shepard returns to MetLife Stadium, where he played his first eight NFL seasons with the Giants. His signing provides depth following an ankle injury to rookie wideout Omar Cooper Jr., who is week-to-week.
