Jacob Melton Placed on 60-Day Injured List, Out for Remainder of Season

The Tampa Bay Rays recalled Jacob Melton from Triple-A Durham and placed him on the 60-day injured list due to a right hamstring strain, officially ending his 2026 campaign. The 26-year-old outfielder missed most of August with the same injury and aggravated it upon his return. Acquired from the Astros last winter, Melton was limited to 45 games in the Rays system but hit .253 with seven homers and 26 stolen bases for Durham.
