Pete Fairbanks Exits Appearance Due to Resurfaced Nerve Issues

Miami Marlins reliever Pete Fairbanks exited Monday's appearance against Arizona after throwing just six pitches due to a recurrence of medial nerve irritation in his pitching hand. Making only his second appearance since coming off the injured list, Fairbanks faces a potential third IL stint that could prematurely end his season. Calvin Faucher and Michael Petersen are candidate options to fill the closer role if Fairbanks is sidelined.
