JR Ritchie Recalled by Braves to Make Wednesday Starting Assignment

The Atlanta Braves have officially recalled right-handed pitcher JR Ritchie from the minor leagues. Following the placement of Reynaldo López on the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation, Ritchie is slated to take the mound and make the start for the Braves on Wednesday. The call-up gives the young right-hander an immediate opportunity to contribute at the major league level as the team manages its pitching depth.
