Bilal Coulibaly Battles for Starting Role in Washington's New Lineup

As the Washington Wizards prep for the 2026-27 season opener, Bilal Coulibaly stands as the lone holdover from their 2023 roster overhaul. Vying for a starting spot, the elite perimeter defender boasts an 86.5-inch wingspan and stellar defensive metrics, holding Giannis Antetokounmpo to just seven points last December. However, his career 31% three-point shooting raises spacing concerns alongside non-shooters, leaving head coach Brian Keefe a major rotation dilemma.
