Onyeka Okongwu Solidifies Role as Atlanta Hawks' Core Stretch Center

Onyeka Okongwu remains the sole surviving member of the Atlanta Hawks' 2021 Eastern Conference finalist squad. Selected sixth overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, Okongwu has successfully transitioned from a backup center into one of the league's premier stretch centers after claiming a starting spot. While critics point to areas of growth regarding traditional rim protection and rebounding, Okongwu continues to serve as a key homegrown contributor for Atlanta's frontcourt rotation.
